Description

The Bed Step - One Step is designed to help Patients get into and out of bed. This is helpful when the bed will not go down low enough, particularly if an overlay pressure mattress is fitted to the bed, making it higher. By using the Step, a Patient will be able to get in and out of bed more easily, as it allows their bottom to go nearer to the middle of the bed. The Step can also be used for getting on or off ambulance trolleys.

Key Features

  • Wipeable medical grade, heat sealed vinyl cover
  • Non-Slip Material on the bottom to help prevent movement
  • Available in two heights:
    • One Step (this product) - A 10cm / 4" block
    • Two Steps - A two level 10cm / 4" and 20cm / 8" block

Additional Information

The decision to use the One or Two Steps will depend on the height of the bed, ensuring the Patient's bottom will be safely near the middle of the bed.

To Use: Place the Step alongside the bed so that when the Patient is standing facing the head of the bed, they can step onto it. The person may even have a hand on the mattress to steady themselves. Ensure their heel is in front of the marked line. The Step is large enough to have two feet on it.

Also available: Rehab Step - A large block for walking rehabilitation.
