Description

The Chair Lateral Supports are designed to help stop people leaning forward or to the side, without applying a full restraint. The foam Supports are fitted to the wheelchair with one on each side. They are primarily designed for use on wheelchairs, but they may be suitable for some other chairs.

Key Features

  • Made from firm foam with convolutions on the curved top to help prevent pressure sores under the armpit.
  • Easy to use: simply place the Supports inside the arm rests and connect the straps around the back of the chair.
  • Supports can be adjusted to provide comfort and safety while seated.
  • Loosen or remove Supports when the person needs to stand up.

Additional Information

When the person is seated, raise the Supports so they are just under the armpits, allowing the arms to rest outside. If the person leans forward, the raised curve section will help prevent them from leaning too far.

Also available: Chair Head Side Supports.
